stripes and dots.

{Jacket: Similar | Sweater: Similar | Shirt: Similar | Necklace: Similar | Jeans: Gap}

Hello ladies! Welcome to Tuesday! We had a wonderful long weekend hence why I am starting the week a little late. When my husband has the day off, I take the day off, so I can make the most out of my family time.

One of the best parts of this weekend was my first blogger date! It was so, so, so much fun! I feel like this is what blogging is all about. I met up with Chris from Chubbette Tales and Shelly from Old is the New. And they are just as full of personality as they are on their blogs. Such a fun time with such wonderful ladies!

Now on to this look, which I love! Stripes and polka dots have won me over as a winning combination. If only, I had unlimited quantities of both...

very holiday-ish.

{Sweater: Similar | Shirt: Old Navy | Cords: Similar | Watch: Similar | Shoes: Similar}

There's just something about this outfit that says holiday to me. It's the perfect, casual wear for December. Very festive with the red, green and plaid. And can I tell you how much I love this cozy flannel top from ON? It's the only thing I want to wear on a cold, blustery day. I mean let's be honest soft, cozy flannel...can you really get any closer to pjs without actually wearing pjs?

I can't believe I bought these cords almost two years ago and I think I hardly wore them. But now that colored pants are in and especially this color they have gotten more wear than I could ever have expected. The good news is I'm ahead of the game. The bad news is that I'm two years ahead of the game. I guess you can't have it all.

saturday style: cozy chic!

You guys I feel like I've finally found that elusive winter sweater. The one that is so cozy you want to wear it every day. This is it and it's super chic on top of everything else. If only I could welcome this beauty into my closet!

It's a little chilly here in Chicago so I'm looking for warm, cozy layers this weekend...something like above. What are you guys up to this weekend? I swim with a swim team...doesn't that sound like I'm five or something?. Anyway we have a 3,000 yard timed event. I always get a little nervous with things like this, so I will be happy when it's done!

See you wonderful ladies on Monday!

neutral.

{Headband: Etsy | Top: Similar | Shorts: J. Crew | Bag: Louis Vuitton | Shoes: J. Crew}

I am all colored out.  I've just been craving a neutral palette lately.  And let's face it, in my book mint is a neutral, so that color has to stay.

I'm not usually a headband girl but I came across this Etsy store somewhere in the blogosphere.  And since turban headbands are in, I decided to give this a whirl (thinking it wouldn't work).  And I love, love, love it!  Because the headband is made out of a vintage fabric, I decided to go a little retro with my look...the red lips, the button earrings and my vintage-y headband.  I also love that I can wear this little guy a number of ways (i.e. more turban-like).  This is not a sponsored post.  I am just one happy customer.

I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy today.
