saturday style: cool weather wear!
So the temperatures are dropping in Chicago this weekend from 75 to 50. Is that ridiculous drop or what?!? I'm afraid we might have seen the last of the warm weather and I am settling in for the the cooler temps.
I absolutely adore EVERYTHING about this look. Well, except for maybe the fact that I might be a tad early on the reindeer sweater. But if you are a holiday enthusiast like me, it's never too early. Those shoes and those pants are just gorg! I think I might try to replicate this outfit with pieces from my own closet since I'm so in love with it!
I hope you have a wonderful, halloween weekend! See you on Monday lovelies!

It's a Casual Day
{Jacket: Similar | Tank: Target | Necklace: Emerson Fry | Shorts: Gap | Shoes: Sperry}
I probably won't win any fashion awards for this outfit but this is real life and some days are like this. At least I look put together (I hope) and I think most people would probably assume I've showered (even though I haven't). And it's easy to be a mom in clothes like this. I don't care if I end up with dirt stains at the end of the day, I can get down and hang out with Talinn on his level and I'm comfortable. At the same time, I'm not embarrassed if I run into someone I know. This is the perfect recipe for a comfy yet stylish outfit: a tank top, jean shorts, casual jacket and comfy shoes.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I've got an hour long run on Saturday but after that it's all fun and games. Hopefully we will explore a different area of the city and enjoy a little time at the beach.

Citron and Olive
Hey ladies, how was your weekend? We had a wonderful one. It was gorgeous! We went out to al fresco dinners, did a bike ride, hung out at the beach, did some running and went the farmer's market.
I don't think I've shared this with you guys but some crazy, insane part of me decided to sign up for the Chicago Marathon. I've never done a marathon before and I certainly am no runner, so this is going to be quite the adventure. Saturday was a glimpse into my future. It was a short run but hot, hot, hot. I do not deal well with the heat at all! And I'm afraid that this heat early in the summer is not a good omen. Here's to keeping on with my training!
I originally paired this vest with a blue gingham shirt but it was too boring and not bright enough for my tastes. So I switched out the blue for this citron color and I like that its a little more unexpected. Plus I wore a neon pink lipstick with this outfit and you can't go wrong with that!
