and now i have a two-year-old.

I have no idea how it happened. My tiny (well, he was never too tiny) baby turned into this strapping little boy. And he is learning and not just in bits and pieces. He is learning big, big things like the alphabet and his numbers. He still has his chubby little cheeks but that's about the only thing left of his baby days.

He is growing way, way too fast. Just a warning to those women who like tall men, they tend to produce tall children. And that means your baby grows up a little too quickly.

T is a charmer. Oh is he a charmer. And he's just recently picked up on it. He has a way of winning anyone's heart when he wants to. Like today when we were at the bank. He leaned forward in his stroller to spot all the people in their cubicles and then loudly and joyfully said bye-bye to each of them in turn. He had the whole office chuckling. It was a proud mom moment.

All of this to say, he is turning two this week and I just wonder, how did that happen? The memories of holding that little baby boy in my arms are fading (just a bit) and I am starting to wonder who he will become as he gets older.

I really love this kid more than I can possibly express. He has a way of melting my heart in ways that no one can. And when he needs me or wants me, I never, ever want to let him down. Every day he makes me want to be a better person, not just a better mother. And for all of this I am eternally thankful.

It's crazy to think I am in for another ride with a totally different child who will win me over just as much. Motherhood really is the best thing ever.
