maternity what?

{Jacket: Similar | Scarf: Similar | Shirt: Gap | Pants: Old Navy | Shoes: Target}

I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. And I hope that my small break wasn't too long. I just feel like lately I have too much on my plate chasing after a toddler all day, traveling two weekends in a row and managing the last trimester of this pregnancy. Not to mention, it's hard to be stylish when you are this pregnant! It has definitely been a major style challenge for me (in a good way). I've had to push myself to get dressed every day even when I don't feel like it. And I'm not usually a big accessory lady, but you have to be when you are wearing the same pieces over and over again!

I do have to give myself credit because folks, I am more than seven months pregnant and I am not wearing one single piece of maternity clothing. Can you believe it? I feel like that's a miracle! I am loving, loving, loving the stretchy waistbands in wide-leg pants these days. They are just perfect for me! And I am pretty sure these guys are gonna get a lot of play post pregnancy.

hawaii style!

{Hat: Similar | Coverup: Similar | Bag: Kate Spade }

So the bad news is that somehow during the 8-hour flight to Hawaii my super cute J. Crew hat that I had packed ALL the way from home had ripped. The good news is that I got to buy a new one! And let me tell you...I love this hat! I think it's way more versatile than my old one, meaning it can be worn all year round. There's nothing super summery about it.

Maybe I also love this hat because the lady at the store gave me the greatest compliment ever. She said in her super cool British accent that I had this really great European style about me. And when she saw me pick up this hat, she knew that I would rock it. What?!? No one has ever told me that. But I will definitely take it. Yeah, that's me rocking a really cool European style. No biggie.

seeing green!

{Jacket: Similar | Shirt: Similar | Jeans: Old Navy | Purse: Similar | Boots: Similar}

I love this jacket but I don't wear it as much as I would like. It's one of those pieces that has stood and will stand the test of time. I mean I can see my 50-year-old self wearing this and looking good. I mean my 50-year-old self might also be wearing my leopard print jeans but I won't attest to the fact that I will look good doing it.

I have to thank my sister-in-law for inspiring me on this one. She bought a green pea coat several years ago and it is just gorgeous. I couldn't afford the full-on version at the time but I happened upon this gem and did some copycatting! So thanks lady!

Do you guys have any pieces in your closet that have continued to be in style season after season? And don't you just wish your closet was full of those pieces?!? I know I do!
