Citron and Olive

{Vest: Similar, Shirt: Old Navy, Jeans: Gap, Shoes: Sperry}

Hey ladies, how was your weekend?  We had a wonderful one.  It was gorgeous!  We went out to al fresco dinners, did a bike ride, hung out at the beach, did some running and went the farmer's market.

I don't think I've shared this with you guys but some crazy, insane part of me decided to sign up for the Chicago Marathon. I've never done a marathon before and I certainly am no runner, so this is going to be quite the adventure.  Saturday was a glimpse into my future.  It was a short run but hot, hot, hot.  I do not deal well with the heat at all!  And I'm afraid that this heat early in the summer is not a good omen.  Here's to keeping on with my training!

I originally paired this vest with a blue gingham shirt but it was too boring and not bright enough for my tastes.  So I switched out the blue for this citron color and I like that its a little more unexpected.  Plus I wore a neon pink lipstick with this outfit and you can't go wrong with that!

  2. Great color combo! I love unexpected colors together like this. And I feel you on the heat. I hate it! I get automatic headaches when I go outside in the summer. Not good considering I live where in stays in the 100s for days if not weeks in a row!

  3. You're a brave brave girl with the Chicago Marathon in mind. They'd have to have an ambulance near by for me. Just stumbled across your blog. Lovely!
