{transformed Ikea bookshelf}
{the little man himself}
For some reason, I just can't capture the charm of this room with the camera. It's light and bright and airy (contrary to the photos) and even though it's the size of a shoe box, it's become one of my favorite places in our home.
I am by no means an interior designer but I do love decorating. And this project was so much fun. I wish I had taken before pictures because the room had a major transformation. It was a small, useless space before. Now it has so much character and I love spending time in it.
We painted the room this perfect mint color, which gave it a major facelift. And then we tried to re-use as much as we could. We repainted our black Ikea bookshelf and made it a dresser. And we re-used our crib and some of T's artwork. We bought the rug from Overstock to cover up the (nasty) carpet. And we purchased a small rocker that fits the space quite nicely.
I am so very lucky that my mom is generous and such a talented seamstress! She made most of the crib sheets and the curtains. I really, really just love this space! What do you think?
It looks so pretty! You did a fantastic job!!

ReplyDeleteWOW Lindsey! This nursery is absolutely amazing. You have a gift for creating a special atmosphere. Would you mind sharing the name of that perfect mint paint?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and your new little son is absolutely adorable :) :)
Jen, thank you for your kind words! The paint is Benjamin Moore Parkside Dunes. I think I got it a little lighter and if you were interested in the color specs I could totally send them your way
DeleteWoah! Sorry I misspelled your name earlier!
DeleteI adore it! Such fabulous colors, and I love how you've organized everything. Also, that little chambray outfit! The little guy couldn't be cuter.
