rockin' the sock (i'm late to the party).

{Hair: Hubby's old sock | Jacket: J. Crew | Shirt: Similar | Pants: Similar | Boots: Hunter}

I'm one of those style bloggers who is a little lazy and jumps on trends a little too late.  For some reason, the sock bun just seemed like too much work.  I mean I had to find a spare sock AND cut the toe off.  That's just hard.

Man I'm lazy.

It's not perfect but I kinda like it!  It was just right for this rainy day where I let my hair dry naturally and then went to walk the dog in the pouring rain (note to self: don't do this).  My hair was not cute to put it mildly, so voila...in comes the sock bun.

Hope you guys have a wonderful Tuesday!  I'm linking up with Everybody, Everywear for the monochromatic challenge.  Just doing the blues...

  1. My hair is getting so long and I've been hearing about these sock buns but I didn't realize it was ACTUALLY A SOCK. haha. So, you're one step ahead of me. Maybe I'll have to try it because this is super cute!

  3. I'm loving your shades of blue! And I'm jealous that you have enough hair to DO a sock bun. Mine barely fits into a ponytail :)

  4. Buddy... are you surprised that we're Twinkies.
    1. I have that jacket also.
    2. I'm late on the Sock Bun Party... I didn't have a spare sock and neither did husband so I actually had to buy socks. I bought them almost 2 months ago and I still haven't tried the sock bun.

    1. I am not surprised at all. I can't believe you have this jacket too. I can't wait to see you style it so I can steal some inspiration from you :) And I love that you actually went out to buy some socks. I promise once you do it though...you'll be hooked!

  6. You are proof that it is possible to look cute and pulled together when it is raining. Those are always the hardest days to dress for!

    Sadly, I do not have enough hair to cover a sock or I would be doing the sock bun for sure.

  11. Love the classic look! I still haven't gotten the confidence to wear a sockbun out in public, I'm always scared it will fall apart on me, haha. Good for you! :)
