stripes and a dress!

{Dress: Old Navy | Scarf: Similar | Purse: Similar | Boots: Similar}

I know, I know I rarely wear dresses here on the blog. But let me tell you, I see this little number getting a ton of wear. I kind of want to go back and buy the other four colors. I won't...but I kind of want to.

In other news, I'm on a a bit of a shopping freeze until the end of the year. Bummer. Big bummer.

Let's have an honest moment, shall we? I love getting a package in the mail, ripping it open and having something brand spanking new in my closet. But sometimes we have to reign it in and I have never been good at reigning it in. I'm sharing this with you guys for a couple of reasons. First, this is reality and we can't have everything we want. Second, we all have budgets and sometimes we can spend more and sometimes we have to spend less. Third, I want to be held accountable. And fourth, maybe knowing I'm a real human being makes me relatable...maybe just maybe.

I can buy small purchases here and there for the next few months, but I can't spend much. So as a result, I am going to try and find more budget friendly options for both you and me.  Here's to spending less over the next few months...k?

  1. I'm in the exact same boat. After getting a couple packages in the mail in one week and going on three shopping trips with friends, my husband finally declared a shopping ban for me. I definitely needed that because I probably wouldn't have done it on my own. So heres to not spending money the rest of this year!

  3. I have to freeze my shopping too. Except I don't want to stop! But I really, really have to. I'm actually terrified because my husband is working from home today and I have two packages being delivered, I have a feeling he is NOT going to be happy! Oh well! Love your dress!

    1. I don't want to stop either! But such is life, right? Don't feel bad! My husband came home before more and we had a million packages...not good.

  9. What a fabulous outfit! Sigh I always "need" a spending freeze but I have the hardest time putting myself on one because I always come up with excuses. Maybe your spending freeze will help me! And I looooove that coach purse, so divine! Thanks for the comment on my blog! :)
